FRED Sr. Wall Mounted Extractor

A professional grade fume extractor, the FRED Sr. Wall-Mounted Extractor is the industry standard for eliminating airborne toxins. Collecting contaminants at source, this stationary extractor has a 2500 CFM, 5 HP blower to ensure a high face-velocity across two movable capture arms.

Equipped with our standard MERV 15 rated Nanofiber filters, the FRED Sr. captures particulate as small as 0.5 micron. Our patented (ICS-360) reduces total cost of ownership by extending filter life expectancy and improving aggregate filter efficiency. Routine service is faster and easier.

The remote mounting kit is a popular option for applications where extraction arms need to be mounted further away from the blower. The FRED Sr. Wall Mounted Extractor is available with one capture arm (FRED SR1 C) or two (FRED SR2 C).

Recommended Applications

  • Ideal for welding.
  • Not Ideal for grinding.

Troubleshooting

+ Your FRED Sr. unit does not turn on
  1. Confirm correct voltage. Make sure the remote switch has been plugged into the correct voltage.
  2. Check fuses. Make sure the fuses are intact and there hasn’t been a loss of power phase.
  3. Check motor rotation. Confirm the correct rotation using the indication arrow located on the motor. If the unit fails to turn on, the unit’s motor could be in reverse rotation and spinning incorrectly. An electrician is required to address the problem.
  4. If the problem continues, contact Diversitech support for assistance.
+ The cleaning mechanism is not functioning
  1. Confirm correct voltage. Make sure the transformer (Primary and Secondary) has been plugged into the correct voltage.
  2. Check the nozzle tip. The nozzle tip should contain 2 magnets. For the cleaning mechanism to function properly, the magnets need to be maintained in place at all times.
  3. If the problem continues, contact Diversitech support for assistance.
+ Dust is escaping through the exhaust stack
  1. Check the filter latch. Readjust the filter latch as needed to keep the filter sealed into place.
  2. Verify the condition of the filter gasket. Check the filter gasket for bypass, damage tears or rips.
  3. Check the inside of the cleaning mechanism. If the mechanism is dirty on the inside, maintenance is required.
  4. If the problem continues, contact Diversitech support for assistance.
