Cost Controller – Manufacturing

Location: Saint-Laurent, Montreal (Easily Accessible by Public Transit)

Position Overview

The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling manufacturing and production costs to ensure operational efficiency, profitability, and data-driven decision-making. This role works closely with production, procurement, engineering, and finance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize inventory, and improve cost and margin management. The Cost Controller also supports ERP system initiatives and ensures compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Cost Analysis & Reporting

  • Create, update, and validate bills of materials (BOMs) and standard costs in the ERP system to ensure accurate costing and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, overheads, and production variances.
  • Identify trends and highlight cost variances to management.
  • Develop and maintain monthly cost and margin analysis reports to support business decisions.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze production efficiency and cost drivers; collaborate with production, procurement, and engineering teams to recommend cost reduction and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Lead inventory management improvement initiatives to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and support for ERP system implementation, including cost module setup and testing.

Financial & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Provide cost-related support for month-end and year-end financial closing, ensuring accurate cost allocation and variance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and support audit readiness for manufacturing cost processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for cost processes and continuously improve accounting procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Cost Management, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing cost control, cost accounting, or production finance.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems implementation (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MPEX/Venture) and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query).

Welder

Position Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work on stainless steel components, assemblies, and equipment according to engineering drawings, specifications, and company standards. The successful candidate will ensure that all work meets safety, quality, and productivity requirements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel parts and assemblies.

Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer supports the research, development, testing, and industrialization of HVAC equipment, with a strong focus on dust collectors and fume extraction systems. Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Control System Development

  • Design and develop electrical and control systems for dust collectors and fume extraction equipment.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, program, and support the electrical and electronic systems of our industrial dust collector products. This role combines HVAC knowledge, embedded software programming, and printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) design to develop advanced control solutions that improve performance, safety, and energy efficiency of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dust Collector & HVAC Electrical Systems
  • Design and implement electrical control systems for dust collectors, including motors, blowers, VFDs, sensors, and actuators.
  • Integrate safety systems (pressure sensors, alarms, interlocks, emergency stops).
  • Prepare wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical layouts.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards (UL, CE, CSA, NFPA).

Embedded Software & Controls
