Les Industries Amisco, based in L’Islet, Quebec, is a leading manufacturer of metal furniture. As part of its manufacturing process, Amisco performs both welding and grinding applications, primarily using steel as the base material.
For over 25 years, Amisco has relied on Diversitech solutions to support cleaner, safer air throughout its facility. Many of the original Diversitech units installed at Amisco remain in service today, demonstrating the long-term durability and reliability of the equipment.

Amisco’s welding and grinding operations generate welding smoke, dust, hot sparks, and airborne contaminants that can impact worker safety and overall air quality. With multiple workstations operating across the facility, Amisco required a dependable solution that could capture contaminants at the source, control smoke migration, and help maintain a cleaner production environment.
The company also needed equipment capable of handling different applications, from welding booths to automated and manual grinding stations, while supporting long-term performance in a demanding industrial setting.
Diversitech provided a comprehensive air filtration solution tailored to Amisco’s welding and grinding processes.
FH27 Filterhawk self-cleaning dust collector was installed and connected by ducting to 10 welding booths. This 125 HP system delivers the airflow required to create one-way directional flow inside each booth, helping capture welding smoke before it can spread into the surrounding shop area. By containing smoke within the booth, the system helps protect welders from harmful smoke exposure while improving overall air quality.
For grinding and sanding applications, Typhoon WX wet collectors were connected to both automated and manual workstations. These systems help safely capture dust, sparks, and embers, reducing combustibility risks while supporting a cleaner, safer work environment.
Amisco also continues to operate several previous-generation Red FRED units, many of which have been in service for more than 25 years. These source-capture systems continue to collect and filter welding smoke directly at the workstation using their self-supporting capture arms.

Amisco’s long-standing relationship with Diversitech is a strong example of how the right industrial air filtration equipment can be a sound, long-term investment. With Diversitech systems still performing after decades of service, Amisco continues to benefit from reliable smoke and dust collection solutions that support worker safety, operational efficiency, and future growth.
Diversitech remains a trusted supplier to Les Industries Amisco, supporting their air quality needs in the past, present, and future.
